The average broadband wifi router has a range of about 100m (300ft), assuming line of sight with nothing in the way. But at home and in the office we have important things like walls, windows and doors that get in the way. the more things in the way and the signal range quickly reduces and in some cases can be stopped altogether.

So how can we increase the range of your router? 

 

The first method is to install network cable from your router the the remote location and add an access point. Although this sounds simple it can prove quite costly as the cable needs to be routed through walls and across open ground either raised above or buried below. We can provied this service if you required.

A more simple and inexpensive method is to install a wifi access point in another location in your building, we can even supply external access points that can be installed outside for maximum range. these access points connect with a short length of network cable or in some cases can connect wirelessly to extend your wifi network even further. The access point uses your existing broadband router to connect to the internet and can be configured to use your exsiting network name and password or have a completely new name and password of your choice.
